Promouvoir et valoriser dans leur diversité, les produits agroécologiques et biologiques dans un contexte de système alimentaire durable. C’est bien l’objectif principal du Marché paysan de la Coordination Nationale des Organisations Paysannes du Mali (CNOP Mali) qui a ouvert ses portes le 28 Décembre 2024 à Kalaban ACI.

A travers ce Marché paysan, la CNOP Mali entend renforcer les capacités économiques et partenariales des producteurs surtout les femmes et les jeunes. Il s’agit aussi de promouvoir leur visibilité. Cette initiative de développement de petits marchés, constitue des moments d’exposition-vente, de partage de connaissances et de débats sur les impacts positifs de l’agroécologiques et biologiques sur la population et sur l’environnement au Mali.

Pour l’heure, la CNOP Mali estime que le défi demeure la mise en œuvre d’une approche permettant de lever les obstacles pour la multiplication des marchés de produits agroécologiques et biologiques. « Comment passer des marchés cibles à des marchés de masse ? Comment impliquer de manière structurelle les consommateurs dans la concertation des acteurs en lien avec les systèmes alimentaires ? Et comment assurer une position politique des décideurs, tant nationaux qu’au sein des instances dirigeantes régionales ? sont autant de questionnement dont des réponses nécessaires doivent être trouvées », peut-on lire dans un document technique de la CNOP Mali.

Selon Ibrahim Coulibaly, président de la CNOP Mali, les membres de sa coordination ont longtemps travaillé dans l’ombre.  « Il est temps de montrer au monde entier ce que nous faisons en matière de la culture des produits agroécologiques et biologiques. Il faut soigner ce qu’on mange ; et cela passe toujours par nos produits bio », souligne-t-il

Quant à Dr. Kalifa Traoré, Directeur Général de l’Institut de l’Économie Rurale (IER), le Marché paysan à base des produits agroécologiques et biologiques est une initiative qui est à encourager. « Ce sont des techniques de culture pour minimiser ou même arrêter l’utilisation des produits chimiques. Cela facilite la conservation des produits et protège les consommateurs de beaucoup de maladies », ajoute-t-il.

Selon Sanoussi Sylla, président de l’Assemblée Permanente des Chambres d’Agriculture du Mali (APCAM), beaucoup de maladies trouvent leurs sources dans ce que nous mangeons. « C’est pourquoi, il faut continuer de former et de sensibiliser les paysans à aller vers la production bio. Il faut aussi promouvoir les produits bio ; il faut les acheter et les consommer beaucoup. C’est bon pour a santé », précise-t-il.

Au nom du ministre de l’Agriculture, Souleymane Yacouba Maiga, estime que l’agriculture est le souffle de l’économie malienne. « Les plus hautes font tout pour que l’agriculture soit bien soutenue. Vous avez tout l’accompagnement des plus hautes autorités », a-t-il déclaré.

Aujourd’hui, la Coordination Nationale des Organisations Paysannes du Mali (CNOP Mali) pense qu’il est nécessaire d’étendre et d’intensifier les marchés des produits agroécologiques et biologiques. Elle estime également que le grand besoin est d’augmenter la prise de conscience du public dans les villes aux bénéfices nutritionnels, et à la santé des produits agroécologiques et biologiques, ainsi que pour soutenir les systèmes alimentaires locales durables.
