L’Association Benkadi de Diatoula a reçu, ce 6 Juillet 2024, des équipements sportifs pour sa première édition du tournoi de football. Ces équipements ont été offerts par le parrain, Moussa Kondo, dont le tournoi porte le nom.
Ce don de ballons et de maillots constitue désormais le démarrage des activités de la première édition du tournoi Moussa Kondo à Diatoula, un quartier de la Commune VI du District de Bamako. Cette compétition de football, dont la finale est prévue le 22 Septembre 2024, va accueillir au moins huit (8) équipes venant de Diatoula et des quartiers limitrophes.
« Je suis très content de cette initiative de l’Association Benkadi de Diatoula », lance le parrain, Moussa Kondo, avant d’ajouter qu’au-delà du sport, il s’agit là d’un projet de développement local. « Le quartier Diatoula est, aujourd’hui, confronté à d’énormes problèmes, d’ordre économique, sanitaire, sécuritaire… Il s’agit tout simplement d’un problème de développement. C’est pour pallier tout cela que l’Association Benkadi a initié ce projet qui permet aux jeunes du quartier de se connaître d’abord et après pour créer ensemble d’autres initiative de développement local », témoigne-t-il.
Le parrain estime également d’être très à l’aise dans son rôle et promet de jouer pleinement sa partition pour la réussite de l’évènement. « Le choix de ma modeste personne pour parrainer ce tournoi est dû certainement à son parcours dans le monde sportif, partiellement en basketball. Nous avons pu donner des bourses d’études sportives à des jeunes qui poursuivent actuellement leurs carrières en Amérique et en Europe », souligne-t-il.
Selon lui, ce tournoi de football est un projet qui concerne tout le Mali. « Aujourd’hui, nous sommes à Diatoula. Mais le projet peut concerner d’autres localités du pays dans les années à venir », précise-t-il.
Quant à Idrissa Coulibaly, président de l’Association Benkadi de Diatoula, ce tournoi de football est la première initiative pour amener les jeunes du quartier à se connaître, à se comprendre et à se tisser des relations sociales, avant la réalisation d’autres activités de développement local. « Pour ce faire, nous comptons beaucoup sur notre parrain, M. Moussa Kondo », déclare-t-il.
