Le PDG des chaînes hôtelières Azalai, Mossadeck Bally, a partagé lors d’un entretien les obstacles qu’il a rencontrés tout au long de son parcours dans l’entrepreneuriat.
Il a particulièrement évoqué les oppositions auxquelles il a été confronté, pointant du doigt un individu français qui a tenté de voler ses rêves pour influencer sa vision, créant ainsi un obstacle considérable.
Il a partagé une anecdote touchante de son parcours en expliquant : « Quand j’ai acheté le grand hôtel, il y a un banquier français qui m’a dit : Oh, c’est bien, rénovez, puis signez avec un grand groupe, parce que vous, les Africains, vous êtes de bons commerçants, mais gérer un hôtel, c’est complexe et tout ça.’
J’ai répondu en disant : « D’accord, mais je ne vous ai pas demandé ma vision, je l’avais. Je reste persuadé que l’Afrique ne décollera réellement que lorsque nous aurons la conviction intérieure que nous possédons cette capacité. »
