Visite de la mission conjointe SE HCNLS – ONUSIDA à l’hôpital régional de Sikasso

Bénéficiaire du ciwara du centre hospitalier le plus performant, pendant deux années successives en termes de qualité des services, l’hôpital régional de Sikasso a reçu  la visite d’une mission conjointe, composée du SE-HCNLS Dr Ichiaka Moumine Koné et ses partenaires, dont le Directeur Pays de l’ONUSIDA Dr Marc Saba, Dr Bassirou Diallo conseiller à l’ONUSIDA et Dr Mamadou Bah SER/HCNLS de Sikasso, ce lundi 17 juillet 2023.

Cette démarche avait pour but d’échanger avec les responsables de l’hôpital  des conditions de dépistage et du suivi biologique et d’autres services liés aux VIH dans la  3ème région.

Cependant, outil majeur de la prévention du VIH, le nombre de dépistage du sida reste encore faible, après un recul dû à la pandémie de Covid 19 c’est pourquoi la directrice adjointe de l’hôpital, Dr Sissouma Assetou qui a reçu la délégation, s’est réjouit de cette visite du SE-HCNLS et de l’ONUSIDA dans ses locaux. Selon elle l’hôpital offre une meilleure prise en charge clinique aux malades séropositives, que ce soit au niveau du laboratoire et de la pharmacie par la disponibilité des ARV. Toutefois il reste quelques défis liés à la réalisation de la charge virale, de la prise en charge pédiatrique du VIH et des difficultés par rapport à l’observance du traitement par les personnes vivant avec le VIH Sida. Aussi dans notre structure  » les  malades séropositifs sont accompagnés par des conseillers psychosociaux donc une prise en charge globale s’effectue à l’hôpital » a expliqué Dr Sissouma Assetou.

Parlant du dépistage de la maladie, la directrice adjointe a indiqué que 2600 personnes ont été dépistées dans sa structure en 2022, avec 112 nouvelles infections, 14 décès et 15 personnes perdues de vue par rapport à la prise en charge au traitement du VIH.

L’ amélioration des performances des acteurs de lutte contre le VIH, et la qualité des soins offerts aux clients du périmètre hospitalier pour l’éradication de la maladie d’ici 2030, sont entre autres les préoccupations du SE HCNLS Dr Ichiaka Moumine Koné

Dans ses propos, Dr Koné a félicité les responsables de l’hôpital régional de Sikasso pour leur capacité organisationnel et leur efficacité dans la lutte contre le sida à travers les présentations des chiffres liés aux VIH. Il a exprimé la disponibilité entière de la structure qu’il dirige pour aider à adresser les défis auxquels l’hôpital fait face.

A la fin de la visite, le SE-HCNLS a remis des exemplaires du document Cadre Stratégique National de lutte contre le sida aux responsables de l’hôpital.
