L’armée burkinabè a mené ces derniers jours des « bombardements intensifs » sur une colline tenue par des terroristes dans la région de la Boucle du Mouhoun (nord-ouest), a rapporté vendredi la presse locale.
Citée par l’agence officielle AIB, elle a expliqué que son offensive avait débuté lundi lorsque des aéronefs ont découvert les terroristes sur une colline rocailleuse de cette région. Selon l’armée, plusieurs terroristes ont été « neutralisés » par ces frappes.
Depuis 2015, l’insécurité dans ce pays d’Afrique de l’Ouest a coûté la vie à de nombreuses personnes et fait des milliers de déplacés. L’armée et ses supplétifs, les Volontaires pour la défense de la patrie (VDP), y multiplient les opérations contre les groupes terroristes.
