La lutte contre la fraude ne faiblit pas dans la capitale. En l’espace de deux jours, la Brigade Mobile d’Intervention (BMI) de Bamako a multiplié les opérations coup de poing, interceptant des cargaisons frauduleuses dont la dangerosité ne fait aucun doute.
Le mercredi 27 août, aux environs de 15 heures, les agents ont procédé, dans la Zone industrielle, à la saisie de 1.155 cartons de médicaments contrefaisants. L’opération, menée avec professionnalisme et sang-froid, a permis de mettre hors de circulation une importante quantité de produits prohibés, dont la consommation aurait pu gravement nuire à la santé de la population.
À peine une heure plus tard, un second succès est venu renforcer cette dynamique. Au quartier Sans-Fil, les éléments de la BMI ont mis la main sur 10 cartons supplémentaires de médicaments contrefaits. Après l’écor, l’ampleur de la découverte a frappé les esprits : 11.792.340 comprimés soigneusement dissimulés. Un chiffre qui en dit long sur les risques encourus si cette cargaison avait échappé au contrôle.
La veille, le 26 août, c’est du côté de Ngolonina que les agents de la BMI avaient déjà marqué un point décisif. En procédant au contrôle d’un véhicule de transport de céréales en provenance de Ségou, ils ont découvert 31 colis de pièces détachées pour automobiles, dépourvus de tout document légal. Les marchandises étaient dissimulées sous des sacs de céréales, une technique souvent utilisée par les fraudeurs mais qui n’a pas résisté à la vigilance des douaniers.
Au-delà des chiffres, ces opérations traduisent la même volonté de protéger la santé publique et de défendre l’économie nationale. Car chaque saisie n’est pas seulement une victoire administrative ; elle représente aussi des vies préservées, des recettes sauvegardées et un signal fort adressé aux réseaux criminels.
