Dans le cadre d’un partenariat, le Haut Conseil National de Lutte contre le VIH SIDA (HCNLS) a fait un important don de matériels de tests du VIH/SIDA et des poches de sang au Centre National de Transfusion Sanguine (CNTS). C’était ce vendredi 08 Novembre 2024.
C’est un don composé d’importants matériels qui répondent aux besoins du Centre National de Transfusion Sanguine (CNTS). Il s’agit de 300 Réactif de test de VIH sur les poches de sang ; 24 000 Poches de sang ; 144 cartons Alcool de 90°c. Le tout pour un montant estimé à 177 millions 048 mille francs CFA.
Selon le Secrétaire Exécutif du Haut Conseil National de Lutte Contre le VIH/SIDA, Dr Issiaka Moumouni Koné, cette donation fait suite à un constat, il y a quatre mois où sa structure a évalué les besoins et insuffisances du CNTS dans le cadre de l’exécution de ses tâches. « En effet, il y’a quelques mois de cela, nous avons effectué une visite d’échange à l’issue de laquelle, des besoins et insuffisances ont été constatés. C’est pourquoi, nous avons décidé d’accompagner le CNTS », dira-t-il
Dr Kone espère surtout qu’au regard du montant et de l’implication des plus hautes autorités, que ce kit va contribuer à renforcer et à garantir la sécurité du sang, mais aussi à lutter contre la propagation du VIH.
En recevant les kits au nom du CNTS et à la place du Directeur Général empêché, le directeur général adjoint, Dr Baba Fané, a jugé utile ce don pour le renforcement de capacités du CNTS. Une structure, dira-t-il, qui reste un maillon important du dispositif sanitaire national à travers, entre autres, son rôle de pourvoyeur des établissements sanitaires publics et privés, civils et militaires, en produits sanguins labiles qui sont incontournables dans la médecine moderne.
« En effet, les prises en charge médicales et chirurgicales font recours à la transfusion sanguine pour sauver de nombreuses vies. De par son rôle de pourvoyeur de produits sanguins, le CNTS contribue à l’atteinte des objectifs nationaux de santé en termes, de diminution du taux de la mortalité générale mais plus spécifiquement contribue à l’atteinte de certains Objectifs du millénaire, notamment la mortalité des enfants de moins de 5 ans et la santé maternelle (paludisme grave, drépanocytose, hémorragies obstétricales. En cette période difficile de sécurité au Mali, le CNTS doit faire face aux besoins transfusionnels des blesses de guerre », souligne Dr Baba Fané.

Pour Dr Baba Fané, ces matériels vont aider le CNTS à faire des transfusions sanguines sécurisées tout en minimisant le risque de MST. Ainsi, selon lui, avec ce don, dans les systèmes basés sur le don de sang volontaire, les patients ont un meilleur accès à des transfusions de sang sûres en situation normale ou en urgence.
