Le président de la Guinée-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo, a annoncé jeudi à Bissau qu’un nouveau gouvernement serait formé  »à partir de la semaine prochaine ».

Il s’exprimait devant la presse après une visite des locaux du ministère de l’Intérieur, à la tête duquel il a nommé le secrétaire d’Etat à l’ordre public, Marciano Indi, en attendant la formation d’une nouvelle équipe gouvernementale.

Le président Embalo a limogé lundi dernier la ministre de l’Intérieur, Maria Adiato Nandigna, à la suite des affrontements armés qui ont opposé un groupe de la Garde nationale aux forces spéciales de la Garde présidentielle.

Dans une première réaction liée à ces incidents, le président bissau-guinéen avait dissous le parlement, entraînant du coup le limogeage du gouvernement en place dont la formation remonte au lendemain des élections législatives de juin dernier.
