Ziré : Bonjour Mme, présentez-vous à nos chers lecteurs !

Aoua Maïga : Je suis Aoua Maïga, présidente de l’Association Malienne Hinè Ton  (AMHT) dont le siège de trouve à Yirimadio  à Bamako.

Ziré : Parlez-nous de l’Association Hinè Ton.

Aoua Maïga : Regroupant plus de 300 femmes veuves à Bamako et les 25 groupements de femmes dans la zone du Mandé, l’Association malienne Hinè Ton (AMHT) est une association à but non lucratif, apolitique et non confessionnelle qui a été créée en 2018. Son slogan est « Vivre c’est aider un autre à vivre ». Elle œuvre dans l’humanitaire et apporte ses appuis techniques et financiers aux veuves, aux orphelins et aux personnes déplacées de guerre. L’objectif principal de l’AMHT est de lutter contre la pauvreté et la crise alimentaire des personnes démunies dans la société.

Ziré : De sa création à maintenant, quelles sont les grandes actions que vous avez réalisées ?

Aoua Maïga : De sa création à nos jours, l’association mène chaque année et de façon consécutive plusieurs activités phares notamment : la donation des vivres pendant les mois bénis de Ramadan ; la donation des viandes de bœuf à l’occasion des fête de Tabaski ; la donation des fournitures et kits scolaires aux orphelins à la veille des rentrée des classes ; la donation des habits aux orphelins ; la formation des femmes en teinture artisanale et coupe et couture ; la prise en charge financière des orphelins et la sensibilisation des jeunes et des femmes sur les maladies chroniques et dévastatrices. En plus l’association mène des activités d’assainissement.

Ziré : Du samedi 14 au dimanche 15 Juillet 2023, vous avez organisé une campagne de sensibilisation sur VIH/ SIDA. Quelles étaient les zones concernées et quel message avez-vous véhiculé ?

Aoua Maïga : Il est clair que le Mali n’est pas à l’an Zéro de la réponse contre l’épidémie VIH/ SIDA. A cet effet, du 15 au 16 Juillet 2023, l’Association malienne Hinè Ton a organisé une campagne de sensibilisation des jeunes sur le SIDA et le VIH dans les zones minières du Mandé. Cette activité s’insère dans la droite ligne des priorités nationales. Elle vise à réduire les comportements sexuels à risque de la population et précisément dans les zones sensibles d’extraction minière à travers la communication pour le changement de comportement positif. La zone concernée par cette activité était la commune rurale de Narena, Bayan pour soutenir l’émergence d’une réponse locale contre le SIDA. Les différents messages de sensibilisation étaient : ‘’Jeune, faire son dépistage pour connaître son statut est un droit, préserver sa santé est un devoir’’ ; ‘’le Sida est une maladie comme les autres, arrêtons la discrimination et la stigmatisation’’.

 Ziré : Quel est l’objectif recherché à travers cette campagne ?

Aoua Maïga : L’objectif de cette activité était de contribuer et aider les hautes autorités de l’État en l’occurrence le Haut Conseil national de Lutte contre le SIDA (HCNLS) sous le leadership de son secrétaire exécutif Dr Ichiaka Moumine Koné, à freiner la propagation et la transmission des maladies et infections sexuellement transmissibles et du VIH SIDA afin d’assurer son élimination d’ici 2030 dans les zones minières du Mandé.

Ziré : Par rapport au VIH, avez-vous des difficultés particulières dans vos actions ?

Aoua Maïga : Tout travail méticuleux pour pouvoir atteindre les résultats et les attentes escomptés rencontrent des difficultés. En effet, la pandémie du SIDA est devenue une préoccupation de toute l’humanité malgré les avancées considérables des acteurs dans la lutte contre la maladie et le Mali a témoigné sa volonté politique du leadership à travers la mise en place du HCNLS.

Durant ces deux jours de sensibilisation, l’association a été confrontée à quelques difficultés notamment : les difficultés à pouvoir accéder à certaines zones reculées d’extractions minières. Cela est dû à l’état des routes dégradées. Il y a aussi l’incapacité financière et technique à pouvoir sensibiliser toutes les zones minières du Mandé (Koursalé, Krina Somono, Dalakana, Kamalé Kakélé, Samaké, Kamalé Soba, Faraba, N’Tanfata, et Balandougou). Ce qui nous a amené une seule zone minière.

Nous espérons avoir un financement futur pour couvrir toutes ces zones non sensibilisées dans les mois à venir. Malgré ces difficultés, nous avons pu surmonter les obstacles et avons mené l’activité avec nos moyens limités. Les objectifs et les résultats attendus ont été satisfaisants et la sensibilisation a eu un fort impact sur la commune rurale de Naréna, Bayan.

Ziré : Mme la présidente, est-ce que les chiffres sur le VIH sont toujours inquiétants ?

Aoua Maïga : Selon les dernières statistiques sur l’état de l’épidémie du SIDA, en 2022, 1,3 millions personnes ont été nouvellement infectées par le VIH. Chaque semaine 4 000 adolescentes et jeunes femmes âgées de 15 à 24 ans ont contracté le VIH dans le monde en 2022 et 3 100 de ces infections sont survenues en Afrique subsaharienne.

Selon le directeur pays de l’ONUSIDA, Dr Marc Saba, 100 nouvelles infections sont enregistrées chaque semaine et 88 personnes décèdent par suite de maladies liées au VIH. Pour paraphraser ses propos, il y a beaucoup de défis à relever et on ne doit pas se limiter à des progrès réalisés. Malgré les efforts fournis par les plus hautes autorités et la communauté internationale pour juguler cette pandémie, les infections ne cessent de progresser dans le monde en général et en Afrique subsaharienne en particulier.

Ziré : Si vous avez un message particulier, ce serait quoi ?

Aoua Maïga : L’Association malienne Hinè Ton, sous notre leadership, en tant qu’actrice engagée de la société civile, a jugé nécessaire de renforcer, de soutenir et d’étendre sa contribution pour en finir avec l’épidémie du SIDA. Sans cette activité de sensibilisation de deux jours, les zones minières, les populations marginalisées et les personnes vivant dans les zones reculées étaient oubliées dans la société et n’étaient pas au cœur des actions de lutte contre le SIDA.

Nous espérons avoir des meilleurs financements pour continuer cette mission volontaire. C’est l’occasion pour nous de remercier une fois de plus le secrétaire exécutif du Haut Conseil national de Lutte contre le SIDA, Dr Ichiaka Moumine Koné, pour sa volonté farouche de mettre fin à la propagation du SIDA et nous ne pouvons que l’aider dans sa noble mission.
