À en croire les autorités de la transition, des actions sont en cours pour la reprise de l’usine de l’huilerie cotonnière du Mali située à Koulikoro. Sur place, les anciens travailleurs de l’HUICOMA n’ont pas caché leur joie suite à cette nouvelle.

Mousssa Alassane Diallo, ministre de l’industrie et du commerce, se montre confiant. Il balise les étapes à suivre pour la réouverture prochaine de l’HUCOMA. « La visite d’aujourd’hui n’est qu’une première étape. Mais aussi pour donner corps et vie à l’économie locale de Koulikoro », explique-t-il. « Après cette visite, très rapidement, nous allons engager une étude pour évaluer l’état de l’outil industriel », ajoute le ministre.

Un espoir pour les anciens travailleurs de l’usine. Parmi eux, Djedjouma Coulibaly. Il estime que la reprise de l’Huicoma sera un plus pour l’économie de la région voire pour celle du pays. « Nous en sommes très heureux. C’est une occasion pour nous d’être dans nos droits », s’exclame M.Coulibaly. Pour lui, « cela permettra aussi à leurs enfants et petits frères de travailler ». « C’est une bonne chose pour la ville et le pays. Sans HUICOMA, Koulikoro ne vit pas », conclut-il.

Idrissa Traoré également ancien travailleur de l’Huicoma avance des idées pour la pérennisation de la société. Pour cela, il plaide pour le rachat de l’usine par l’État et une gestion plus transparente. Il estime que « l‘HUICOMA est un cas particulier ». « L’usine a été privatisée pour qu’elle avance bien, mais tel n’a pas été le cas », nous confie M.Traoré. Il pense que l’État doit reprendre la commande de l’unité. « Seul l’État peut faire marcher cette usine ».

Pour rappel, cette nouvelle intervient après la réouverture d’une autre usine, cette fois-ci à Segou. Il s’agit de la compagnie malienne de textile COMATEX, qui a recommencé ses activités le 13 juin dernier.
