La coalition pour l’observation citoyenne des élections au Mali demande au gouvernement de mettre à jour le chronogramme électoral. Cette réactualisation permettra de rassurer les parties prenantes au processus électoral selon la COCEM.

Cette demande de la COCEM, faite ce mercredi 26 juillet, intervient après la proclamation des résultats définitifs du referendum, le 21 juillet dernier.

La COCEM demande également au gouvernement de mettre à jour le chronogramme des reformes et élections. Car selon elle, l’étape de proclamation des résultats du referendum doit ouvrir la voie à la tenue des élections générales. Il s’agit du « retour à l’ordre constitutionnel, dans le délai imparti de la transition ».

La COCEM exhorte aussi l’autorité indépendante des gestions des élections AIGE à publier le projet de chronogramme actualisé des reformes et des élections à venir. Cela va rassurer selon la présidente Bintou Founé Samaké, les parties prenantes au processus électoral.

Contactée par notre rédaction, l’autorité indépendante des gestions des élections AIGE n’a pas voulu s’exprimer sur la question.

Pour rappel, les résultats définitifs du scrutin référendaire des 11 et 18 juin 2023 ont étés proclamés par la cour constitutionnelle 21 juillet dernier. Sur les 8 463 084 inscrits il y a eu 3 235 423 votants, 25 241 bulletins nuls. Le oui l’emporte avec 3. 110. 877 soit 96, 91% contre 99. 309 votants soit 3,09% pour le non.

Éviter d’éventuelle lenteur du processus

Pour les responsables du parti rassemblement pour le Mali (RPM) il est urgent de procéder à la publication du chronogramme des élections. Le parti dit craindre un éventuel report des programmes qui pourrait être occasionné par la lenteur du processus.
