Qualifié à l’issue de sa 3e place lors de la CAN U23 disputée au Maroc, les Aiglons du Mali n’ont pas totalement dépassé tous les ennuis. La raison ? Une plainte de la Guinée Conakry qui accuse le Mali d’avoir aligné un joueur hors catégorie.
La participation du Mali pour les Jeux olympiques de Paris 2024 est menacée par une possible disqualification, suite à des accusations émises par la presse guinéenne. Par cette plainte, la Guinée veut la place du Mali et ne le cache pas.
L’équipe malienne, qui s’est classée troisième lors de la dernière Coupe d’Afrique des Nations U23 après avoir battu la Guinée lors de la petite finale (0-0, 4 tab à 3), est accusée par son adversaire d’avoir aligné un joueur inéligible lors de ce match décisif.
La polémique tourne autour du joueur malien Alhassane Tamboura, dont la Guinée s’interroge autour de la date de naissance. Ce joueur passé par la Guinée pendant un moment est suivi par les médias guinéens.
La FEMAFOOT sereine !
Joint par téléphone, le responsable de la communication de la Fédération malienne de football nous explique : « Si c’était aussi sérieux que ça, la FIFA allait nous saisir. Mais, non ! Jusqu’ici, je n’ai pas connaissance de cela. La FEMAFOOT reste ouverte à donner tous les événements nécessaires au besoin. »
