Les Forces armées maliennes (FAMa) ont neutralisé 22 terroristes et récupéré une quantité d’armes, d’équipements roulants et divers matériels, suite à une embuscade, qu’elles ont déjouée mercredi dernier à Sokolo dans la Région de Ségou, a annoncé l ‘état-major général des Armées dans un communiqué.

« L’état-major général des Armées informe l’opinion que les Forces armées maliennes ont déjoué, avec un professionnalisme remarquable, une embuscade contre une mission de ravitaillement en vivres des populations dans le secteur de Sokolo en fin de matinée du mercredi 12 juillet 2023 », précise le communiqué, ajoutant que l’exploitation des renseignements ainsi que les actions terrestres et aériennes ont permis la destruction de 12 motos et la récupération de 14 AK-47 et trois PKM.

Au cours de cette opération, les forces armées nationales ont enregistré trois blessés légers évacués sur Sévaré et deux véhicules légèrement endommagés, indiquent la source militaire. Par ailleurs, l’évaluation des frappes aériennes contre des terroristes rescapés retranchés dans une forêt de Famabougou se poursuit.

L’état-major général des Armées précise que ces terroristes, manifestés à une cinquantaine, sont responsables de multiples harcèlements contre les FAMa et des abus contre les populations dans le secteur. Tout en souhaitant un prompt rétablissement aux blessés, la haute hiérarchie militaire rassure les populations de l’engagement des forces à combattre cette nébuleuse terroriste.
