Après le Mali, la Guinée, le Burkina Faso, le Niger est à son tour touché par la contagion du coup d’Etat. Après avoir annoncé la destitution du président élu, Mohamed Bazoum, les militaires font face à la colère de la Cédéao. En effet, dans la gestion du cas nigérien, les dirigeants de l’organisation sous-régionale comptent mettre fin à la série de prises du pouvoir par les armes. Pour ce faire, ils ont brandi plusieurs sanctions sévères, dont une possible intervention militaire et exigé le rétablissement du président déchu. Après des sanctions similaires contre les auteurs du coup de force au Mali, en Guinée et au Burkina Faso, est-ce le dernier baroud d’honneur de la Cédéao ou un véritable point de départ pour la fin d’une litanie de putschs ?
