Un nouveau groupe terroriste a fait une incursion dans le nord du Nigéria, a affirmé en conférence de presse Edward Buba, porte-parole de l’armée du pays. Nommés Lakurawas, ils seraient affiliés à des mouvements venus du Mali et du Niger.
Des terroristes affiliés à des mouvements du Sahel pénètrent dans les régions du nord et de l’ouest du Nigéria, a déclaré le 7 novembre Edward Buba, porte-parole de l’armée nigériane.
“Les troupes sont confrontés à de nouveaux terroristes au nord du pays. Ils sont connus sous le nom de Lakurawas et sont affiliés aux terroristes du Sahel, particulièrement du Mali et du Niger. Ils ont entamé une incursion États de Sokoto et de Kebbi”, a-t-il affirmé lors d’une conférence de presse.
L’armée nigériane a tué 163 terroristes, arrêté 82 suspects et libéré 80 personnes kidnappées, dans la région du nord-ouest en octobre, a-t-il précisé.
