Le feuilleton politique prend une autre tournure. 105 membres de l’Union pour la république et la démocratie (Urd) dont des responsables locaux, ont annoncé leur démission du parti fondé par le regretté chef de file de l’opposition, Soumaïla Cissé.
Cette décision a été motivée par le fait que les démissionnaires  se sentent plus rassurés par certaines anciennes têtes du parti, notamment l’ex-président par intérim, Salikou Sanogo qui a fondé l’Espoir pour la Démocratie et la République (Edr) le 20 mai dernier, après avoir perdu la bataille judiciaire.
A la suite de cette vague de démissions, la coordination Edr de la commune II a vu le jour samedi dernier et piloté par Aboubakr siddikh Kane (désigné Coordinateur EDR de la  commune II assisté de six adjoints : Modibo Doumbia, Altinè Ndiaye, Moussa Touré, Dr Drissa Koné, Mamadou Issa Coulibaly et Fatoumata Cissé. L’assemblée générale a aussi désigné trois présidents d’honneur, en l’occurence Mme Coulibaly Salimata Cissé, Damien Dacko, Mme Keita Mariam Simpara.
