Dans un décret publié le samedi 22 juillet dans le journal officiel, le Président de la Transition, le colonel Assimi Goïta a promulgué la nouvelle Constitution validée peu après par la Cour constitutionnelle. Aussitôt promulguée, les opposants à cette nouvelle Constitution sont vent debout contre, appelant à l’instauration de la Constitution du 25 février 1992.

Avant de s’envoler pour la cité des rails le dimanche passé, le Président de la Transition a promulgué la nouvelle Constitution tant attendue par certains Maliens qui l’ont adoptée à 97 % selon les résultats définitifs de la Cour constitutionnelle. Cette promulgation fait suite au verdict rendu vendredi par les neuf sages de la Cour constitutionnelle qui ont officialisé la validité et la constitutionnalité de ladite Constitution.

L’opposition, dont toutes les requêtes introduites, ont été rejetées par la Cour constitutionnelle est vent debout contre cette nouvelle Constitution et sa promulgation.

Dans un communiqué, la Coordination des organisations membre de « L’appel du 20 février pour sauver le Mali » dénonce l’illégalité du processus référendaire et interpelle sur le danger de la promulgation de la nouvelle Constitution.

” C’est avec beaucoup de stupeur et de surprise que nous avons appris la validation du scrutin référendaire des 11 et 18 juin 2023, malgré nos requêtes de réclamations pour annulation de la proclamation des résultats définitifs. Sa promulgation est un danger, car tout le processus a été mené dans l’illégalité en violation de la loi et l’absence de vote dans plusieurs parties du pays “, peut-on lire dans le communiqué. Les membres de ” L’appel du 20 février pour sauver le Mali” appellent les autorités de Transition à l’instauration de la Constitution du 25 février 1992.

Dans un autre communiqué signé par Tiébilé Dramé, le président du parti pour la Renaissance nationale (Parena) a rappelé les germes que cette nouvelle Constitution peut entraîner sur la scène politique et sociale malienne.

” Depuis près dix mois, le Parena a régulièrement attiré l’attention du peuple malien, des forces politiques et sociales, des autorités de Transition sur l’inspiration non légale du projet, sur sa non-conforme à la Constitution en vigueur, sur son essence non consensuelle et sur les germes de division des Maliens”, a-t-il fait savoir.
